Jun Ji, Testimonial

It’s my honor and pleasure to provide this letter of recommendation for Ms. Ching-Lan Lee as she pursues a teaching position with your school. As the parent of one of Ms. Lee’s long-term students, it is our good luck and great pleasure to have her instruct and help my daughter over the past 9 years. It’s my wish that she serves as an art teacher in your school for significant benefits to young generations.

My daughter Vivian Ji has been Ms. Lee’s art student since elementary school until now as a high school graduate. It is no doubt that Ms. Lee’s education shaped Vivian’s path to college and future career. She has always been caring a lot about Vivian’s art skills, schoolwork, ideas about future and any confusions as well. We greatly appreciate Ms. Lee’s excellent instructions, heartfelt guidance and encouragement to Vivian, which helped lead her through a lot of hard times and finally being admitted with scholarship by School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC).

Ms. Lee is not just an artist or teacher, rather she is more of the combination of teacher, mentor and friend.  She taught Vivian all kinds of painting and drawing skills, set up progressive learning strategies and comprehensive goals, and worked closely to explore creative ideas and enhancement options.  Ms. Lee also routinely communicated with us as parents on Vivian’s artwork, achievements and next step objectives, and just as importantly, about Vivian’s future life goals and any struggles she has encountered.

Sharing the care for Vivian, Ms. Lee has offered tremendous support to us for our daughter’s education and life experience. Vivian was diagnosed with ADHD and bi-polar disorder in the 9th Grade. She often had challenges with focusing on work and instructions as well as on-time assignment completion, and had to deal with serious consequences to her performance and emotions. Ms. Lee noticed these and had many open conversations with us as an educator and friend, providing very professional educating skills and effective communicating suggestions. During Vivian’s classes, Ms. Lee also established a very detailed work plan with carefully refined levels to fit Vivian’s schedule and commitment.  She also taught Vivian better time management skills and an efficient way to implement a broader knowledge base from different types of instruction. Ms. Lee has spent a lot of effort and time to improve Vivian’s self-consciousness, logical thinking, goal-driven learning and working habits. Without Ms. Lee’s instructions and mentorship, Vivian would have suffered many more challenges.

After years’ of superior art training by Ms. Lee, Vivian made up her mind to choose Fine Arts and Visual Illustration as her life career. In our opinion, Ms. Lee is no doubt the most trust-worthy teacher and mentor to coach Vivian’s pursuit of her dream. As a professional artist, Ms. Lee offered Vivian and us in-depth understanding of the well-known art institutes or colleges, their art areas and trends, interdisciplinary and innovative development, application requirements, preparations for art portfolios, etc.  Ms. Lee’s enthusiasm and selfless guidance for Vivian’s college application solidified the successful admission and led her into the door for her future.

I believe Vivian is only one of the many successful students benefiting a lot from Ms. Lee’s trustful art instructions and meaningful life-learning education.  During the past 9 years, Vivian always loved the art classes and enjoyed the time spent with Ms. Lee. Such a relationship will shed an inspirational light on her future life.

Ms. Ching-Lan Lee has my highest recommendation for the art teacher’s position, and I look forward to learning more about the accomplishments that lie in her professional future.  Please don’t hesitate to contact me for any further information. Thank you for your time.

Sincerely,
Jun Ji
