About Students’ Work in Gallery 2
In Gallery 2, these watercolor works are grouped by student to better exhibit individual praiseworthy progress and achievement in art expression, which is the result of their enjoyment of learning art in this studio over the years. Their work also manifests individual budding talents, creativity, styles, and skills in watercolor.

Of all the watercolor works in this gallery, a similar phenomenon is shared by the charcoal works in Gallery 1 and is marvelously displayed across the board; that is, while students use the same reference picture in the curriculum and apply the same aesthetic principles learned in the class, their work, however, amazingly manifests divergent beauty, creativity, and skills for the same subject matter. This is the unequivocal impact of what the instructions and inspirations tailored for each student promote: personal variations in expression, literary content enrichment, musicality in paintings, rhythmic arrangements, sense of movement, and improvisational performance in any given medium, in this case watercolor. Their work collectively shows that they are well-equipped, not only to cope with their own particular difficulties that occur in the painting process, but also to master this art medium confidently and gradually. All the resources and help from this studio have rendered each piece unique, independent, complete, and lively, showing innovative variations.

關於第二畫廊的學生作品

第二畫廊的水彩畫大致以每個學生自己個人爲一組展覽,以期能更清楚展現個別學生多年來在此享受學畫所得的進展和値得慶賀的個人藝術學習與表現成果,展露初萌之個人獨特的才思、創意、風格與水彩技巧。

跨越各組所有作品同樣可見,如同第一畫廊炭筆畫所展現的,就是,學生們照著畫室的課程所畫同樣的主題是使用完全相同的參考圖片和應用所學相同的美感原理原則,然而在畫室老師對各個學生量身的精心指導下,每個人却能在同主題上令人讚嘆的表現出各自迥異的美感特色、個人獨特的創意和技巧。這明顯的是畫室爲每個學生量身訂做的指導與啟發所帶來的結果,而這些指導啟發很強調個人的表現、深化的文學內涵、繪畫的音樂性、節奏感、動感,和在水彩中如何配合媒材的自主性來創作,使得畫作有生趣和生命力。整體而言,學生的作品體現出他們在如何克服畫作過程中遇到的個別難題和在如何逐漸掌握這個藝術媒材上有良好的裝備。本畫室的這些資源和幫助使得各個作品獨特、獨立、完整、生動、各不相同和有新意。
